Eligibility 

• Contestants must be a 7th – 12th grade student, attending a Junior High or High School within Santa Barbara County.

• Contestants may not be represented by management, an agent, or under contract with a label.

Application

• Contestants must apply online no later than 11/10/24 in order to be considered. www.TeenStarUSA.com

• Contestants’ parents must sign online Agreements (agreement link will be emailed).

• Application & Agreements must be completed before audition will be considered.

• Contestants will be contacted on or before 11/12/24 if they are invited for a call back audition time slot.

Video Audition

• Contestants must submit a short video of their audition song no later than 11/10/24.

• The first half should include the contestant stating their name, school, grade, name of song, and why they chose that song. Then, they should sing 16-32 bars a cappella (approximately 30 seconds of singing).

• Instructions for video submission will be emailed to contestants after they apply online.

Audition Call Backs

• Contestants’ video auditions will be reviewed and approximately 20 contestants will be invited to an in-person call back audition on 11/16/24.

• Contestants receiving a call back must bring two (2) 5×7 color head shots to their call back audition. Head shot photos do not need to be professional. They will become the property of Teen Star and will not be returned to the contestant.

• Call back contestants are encouraged to present a different song than their video audition.

Finalists will be announced – on Facebook.com/TeenStarUSA and on Instagram @teenstarusa
Starting at 8:00pm on 11/17/24, we will begin posting the Top 10 Finalists.

Finalist Requirements

• Submit a 150-250 word bio to rachelteenstarusa@gmail.com by 12/15/24.  
• Please review the Teen Star timeline below to make sure you can attend all rehearsals, the orientation, your mentor session, and the finale.
• There will be a small fee for the group number costume.
• Finalists must prepare two 2½ minute solos.
