Teen Star USA is Back!

TEEN STAR INFORMATION

Eligibility

• Contestants must be a 7^th – 12^th grade student attending a Junior High or High School within Santa Barbara County.
• Contestants may not be represented by management, an agent, or under contract with a label.

Application

• Contestants must apply online no later than September 19, 2023, in order to be considered. Application available at TeenStarUSA.com.
• If the applicant is a minor, a parent must sign the online Agreements (agreement link will be emailed).
• Application & Agreements must be completed before an audition will be considered.
• Contestants will be contacted on or before September 21, 2023, if they are invited for a call back audition time slot.

Video Audition

• Contestants must submit a short video of their audition song no later than September 19, 2023.
• The video should include the Contestant’s slate (state their name, school, grade, name of song, and why they chose that song). Following the slate, Contestant should sing 16-32 bars a cappella (approximately 30 seconds of singing).
• Instructions for video submission will be emailed to contestants after they apply online.

Audition Call Backs

• Contestant‘s video auditions will be reviewed and approximately 20 contestants will be invited to an in-person call back audition on September 23, 2023.
• Contestants receiving a call back must bring two (2) 5×7 color head shots to their call back audition. Head shot photos do not need to be professional. They will become the property of Teen Star and will not be returned to the Contestant.
• Contestants who are chosen for a call back are encouraged to present a different song than their video audition.

ANNOUNCEMENT OF FINALISTS

• Starting at 8:00pm on September 24, 2023, we will begin posting the Top 10 Finalists on Facebook.com/TeenStarSB and on Instagram @teenstarusa. Make sure to “Like” Teen Star on Facebook and follow @teenstarusa on Instagram to see all the latest information and the Teen Star Finalist Announcements.

Finalist Requirements

• Submit a 150 – 250 word bio to RachelShalhoob@verizon.net by September 26, 2023.
• Please review the Teen Star timeline below to make sure you can attend all rehearsals, the orientation, your mentor session, and the finale.
• There will be a small fee for the group number costume.
• Finalists must prepare two 2½ minute solos.
